Description
The Cider House, located 10 metres south-west of the Manor House, dates back to 1736 as indicated on the east gable wall. It features rubble stone walls and a thatch roof with stone gable copings. The building is two storeys high, with one window on the ground floor and two first-floor windows that have 2-light ovolo stone mullions. The entrance is on the east gable end, characterized by chamfered jambs and a depressed-arch head. There is also a door with moulded stone jambs and a depressed head on the west gable wall at a higher level, which is a plank door. Above this door, there is a square window with roll-moulded jambs. At the apex of the gable, there is an iron weather-vane featuring an openwork date of 1699, which refers to Nicholas Browne. The building is listed as Grade II* due to its significant group value.
