Description
The Village Cross is a 15th-century structure with a 20th-century cross on top, located on Village Street in Leigh. It features a square shaft that is set diagonally on a base, which has remains of carving that are badly eroded. The square base is shaped to an octagon on top and is moulded, resting on a stone step. This site is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument in Dorset, numbered 20.
