Description
Tatton House is a detached house built in the early to mid-19th century. It features stone walls that are stuccoed and has a pyramid-shaped slate roof. The eaves are boxed with a pendant-based edge, and there is a stone stack at the center, with the upper part rendered. The house has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high.
The front facade has three windows; the lower ones are Venetian windows that are recessed and have segmental heads, while the first-floor windows are sashes with thin glazing bars and crown glass. The front door is centrally located and consists of six flush panels, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars, dating from the early 19th century.
At the rear of the house, there is a pentice-roofed single-storey outshut that features three-light wooden casements with glazing bars and a studded plank door. A 20th-century two-storey extension at the north-west corner is not considered of special interest.
