Description
No 7 on Cheap Street is a corner house located on the north side of Newland. It has a late 18th century to early 19th century front that covers an earlier core. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and features one window bay facing Newland and another facing Cheap Street. It has a slate hipped roof with a sagging ridge on the Newland side and includes one dormer. The ground floor has two attractive early 19th century bowed windows, one facing west and the other south. These windows have reeded detailing and original glazing bars, and the stall-risers are made of stone. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 15 (odd) and the George Hotel in Higher Cheap Street.
