Description

This is an 18th to mid-19th century building, originally used as the Sherborne Book Saloon and later as a Churchill Licensed Betting Office, now occupied by Save The Children. It is a two-storey building with a two-bay front originally constructed of brick, now clad in roughcast with stone rubble at the rear. The roof is tiled, and there is an altered gabled dormer. The first floor contains sash windows in wide, flush frames. A slightly projecting shop front is at street level, featuring a half-glazed door. To the left of the shop front is a house door with six reeded, flush panels and a five-light rectangular fanlight. The building forms a group with number 2, The White Hart Public House, on Cheap Street.
