Description

The gate piers and flanking walls, located about 180 meters south of The Old Rectory, date from around 1860 to 1870. They are constructed from hamstone ashlar for the piers and stone rubble for the walls. The large, squat gate-piers feature side panels with indented corners and large caps that have moulded cornices. The flanking quadrant walls have coping and terminal piers that are identical to the gate-piers. There is a wooden 7-bar gate with diagonal bracing, marking the entrance to the drive leading to The Old Rectory.
