Description

Hellum Farmhouse is a house from the mid-17th century that has some brick refacing dated 1775, with the western end appearing to be a later addition. The walls are whitewashed and rendered, and it has a thatched roof with brick stacks on the right side and along the ridge to the left. The building has two storeys and features irregular fenestration. The 19th-century casement windows have horizontal glazing bars with varying numbers of lights. There is a part-glazed door in the west gable wall. Inside, one fireplace has a 4-centred, chamfered timber bressummer, and there are two deep chamfered ceiling beams, one of which has ogee stops. The roof structure is a collar beam truss.
