Description

Higher Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse built in the early 19th century, designed in an L-plan. It features ashlar stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable copings. The building has two storeys and includes three sash windows with glazing bars and stone cills. The front door, located at the center, is a 19th-century flush-panelled design with a semi-circular fanlight and glazing bars above. A stone portico with Tuscan columns supports an unusual entablature with a large projecting cornice. At the rear, there is a wing with renewed wooden casements and glazing bars, and the rear gable has a stone coping. A 20th-century door with many glass panels is also present.
