Description

Myrtle Cottage is likely a 17th-century cottage that was remodelled in the 19th century. It is built of rubble with a Flemish bond brick facade, whitewashed, and has a thatched roof with brick stacks at each end. An outbuilding, originally probably a barn, is attached to the right side and is clad in weatherboard. The cottage is one-and-a-half storeys high and has a three-window front. It features 20th-century two-light casement windows with glazing bars. The ground-floor window openings have returned labels, and the central door is panelled with pointed-head detailing to the upper panels, set within a lattice porch. Interior features include a large open fireplace and stop-chamfered ceiling beams with run-out stops.
