46 and 48 South Street are 18th-century buildings constructed from hammer-dressed stone with slate roofs. They are two storeys tall and have attics. Number 46 features two casement windows, while number 48 has a range of sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded flush frames. Both buildings have attic dormers. Number 46 also includes a four-panelled door with a plash shouldered surround. Together, numbers 46 to 54 (even) form a group.
