Description

This primary school was built in 1884, likely designed by A. Waterhouse. It features a combination of brick and timber-framing with rendered infill, topped by tiled roofs that include a central stack with twin square flues. The building is a single storey with irregularly placed windows. The windows are timber mullioned and transomed, complete with glazing bars. There are gabled cross-wings on both the left and right sides. A gabled porch next to the right cross-wing has buttresses with brick 'tumbling-in' at the offsets and a panelled door. The smaller windows have segmental brick heads.
