Description

Nos. 12, 13, and 14 South Street are a terrace of three cottages, likely built in the early 19th century. Nos. 12 and 13 appear to be part of the same construction, while No. 14 is a separate building. The cottages feature rubble stone walls and stone slate roofs. No. 12 has a stone stack at the left end with an oversailing cap, and both Nos. 12 and 13 are two storeys tall with matching designs, though mirrored. No. 12 has a part-glazed panelled door, while No. 13 has a ledged door. Each of these cottages has two ground floor casements with a central horizontal bar, all set under stone lintels, and two similar casements on the first floor. No. 14 has a stone stack at the left end, shared with No. 13, and another stack in the centre. This cottage is one storey with an attic, featuring a ledged door and two ground floor casements with a central horizontal glazing bar under stone lintels. The attic includes two gabled dormers with similar casements.
