Description

Nos. 2 and 3, Turnerspuddle, are probably late 18th century, and were originally a pair of cottages, now combined into a single house. The walls are plastered and sit on a brick plinth, with thatched roofs, and a central brick stack. The house is two storeys high. A modern two-storey extension, also plastered and thatched, has been added to the east. A modern lean-to porch, with brick walls and a slate roof, is located at the rear of the original range; the thatch is extended over both ends of the building. A modern oak door is set within the tiled porch. Casement windows with cast iron lights are present on both the ground and first floors. The main ground floor rooms contain large, open fireplaces, one of which retains a bread oven.
