Description

Drayton Lodge, located at No. 50 West Allington, is a building likely constructed in 1836 or 1837, possibly by builder John Night of Lyme Regis. It is finished in stucco and features a low pitch hipped slate roof with wide eaves supported by brackets. The building has two ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. Originally, it included a trellis verandah. Drayton Lodge is part of a development that includes Nos 46-52, which are related to other nearby properties on East Road and West Bay Road. Along with No. 42, Magdalen Almshouses, and Nos 46 to 52, it forms a cohesive group of buildings.
