This is an early or mid-19th century pair of houses located in West Allington. They are constructed of whitewashed brick with a slate roof and wide eaves supported by brackets. The houses are two storeys high and have two window ranges each. Number 28 features a good three-bay wood trellis porch with an iron balustrade to the steps; other railings are missing. The houses form part of a group with numbers 18 to 34 (even).
