Description

No 42 on West Allington is an early 19th-century building with an ashlar front and hammer-dressed stone at the back. It features a pitched slate roof with bargeboards and stands two storeys tall. The façade includes three ranges of cased sash windows with glazing bars, and the ground floor has shutters. There is a panelled door with fanlights above it, and decorative trellis work in the spandrels. No 42 is part of a group that includes the Magdalen Almshouses and Nos 46 to 52 (even).
