Description

Stafford Farm House is a farm house dating from circa 1837. It is constructed of brick walls, some of which are plastered. The roof is slate, featuring hipped sections and stone eaves courses. Brick stacks are located at the rear of the front range, in the centre of the rear range, and at the end of the rear range. The building follows a T-shaped plan. It has two storeys. The main front includes an ornamental iron verandah with a concave corrugated sheet roof. A flush panel door is accompanied by a fanlight. The ground floor features two sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar sashes. The rear wing is constructed in a similar style, with mostly casement windows with glazing bars. Inside, there is a closed-string staircase with plain balusters, a moulded handrail, and a newel. Several contemporary hob grates remain. The farm house is generally unspoiled.
