Description
Davine Petrela and The Forge is a block of three cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The cottages feature plastered cob walls and thatched roofs, with the roof hipped at the right end. There are two brick stacks, one at the left end and another near the center. The building is two storeys high, with Davine located at the left end and Petrela, which may have originally been one cottage with Davine. Davine includes a two-storeyed rear wing that matches the main construction. The entrance is located in the left gable wall. Petrela has a gabled tiled porch with weatherboarding in the gable. The front wall of these two cottages has four casement windows with glazing bars on each floor. The Forge, situated at the right end, features a flush panel door. The ground floor has two sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has four similar sash windows. At the right end, there is a two-storeyed rear extension made of brick with a thatched roof, as well as a single-storey lean-to with a corrugated sheet roof.
