Description
Manor Thatch is a cottage, part of a pair, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, and possibly built on the site of an earlier dwelling. The building features coursed rubble construction and a thatched roof. It has a broad front with two storeys and an attic, displaying a symmetrical three-window facade. Above the six-over-six pane horizontal sliding sash windows, there are two small 2-light 19th-century casement dormers. The entrance features a well-preserved 19th-century flush nine-panel door with three small glass lights. The cottage has a rendered plinth and brick gable stacks. The right side of the building is rendered and includes a small 2-light small-pane casement window, set on an approximately 0.45-meter stone plinth. A high boundary wall, which continues in the same plane from the eaves level, extends about 7 meters beside the lane leading to Manor Barn. The interior has not been inspected.
