Description

Four headstones located 2 metres to the south and east of the Churchyard Cross in Bradford Abbas date from the late 17th century and 18th century. They are made of lias stone and feature curved tops with carved cherubs. Each headstone has raised foliate framing around the inscriptions. The first headstone is dedicated to John Pariot, who died on June 9, 1774. The second has capital lettering and an incised inscription from the 17th century. The third and fourth headstones have inscriptions that are illegible and date from the early 18th century.
