Description
The Grotto or Rock Bridge, located 400 meters south-southeast of Encombe House, is a structure dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It supports a road bridge and consists of a series of linked tunnels made from large blocks of undressed stone. The bridge features a plain stone parapet and square ashlar stone piers.
