Description
The cottage at Encombe, located immediately south of the stable block, is a detached structure dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It features ashlar stone walls, with the front wall being plastered. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and there is a central plastered chimney stack. The cottage has two storeys. The ground floor includes a flush panel door that is sheltered by a flat hood supported by shaped console brackets, along with a second ledged door at the left end. There are three sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor and four similar sash windows on the first floor. The cottage is included for its group value.
