Description
No. 9, High Street is a cottage at the right end of a terrace, dating to the 18th century. It appears to be the result of two phases of building. The walls are a mix of colourwashed brick and plastered cob, and the roof is thatched, with one section at a lower level. A shared brick stack is located at the left end. The front of the building has a shallow, square, thatched bay window on the ground floor with glazing bars. There is also one casement window with a central horizontal bar, along with two 20th-century metal casement windows. The attic has two dormers with casement windows featuring a central horizontal bar, and one similar casement window under the eaves. A ledged door is located in the right end wall. A lower rear wing is constructed from matching materials.
