Description

Custard and unidentified monuments are located 4 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Mary. These two table-tombs date from the 17th and 19th centuries. The first tomb is made of stone and features a large chamfered top block with a flat surface, and it has recessed quatrefoils on the end block. The inscription is illegible and dates to the mid-17th century. The second tomb has flat stone panels adorned with reeded pilasters and a chamfered top block. It commemorates Ann Custard, who died on March 31, 1811.
