Description

The Workhouse Chapel, built in the mid-19th century, is constructed from squared, dressed rubble arranged in courses, with a tiled roof featuring gable ends and ashlar dressings. The west gable faces the road and includes two lancet windows with diagonal leaded lights beneath two-centred arches, along with a round quatrefoil window positioned above. A central gabled porch features a two-centred arch with continuously chamfered jambs and a plank double door set in an ashlar moulded surround with a two-centred head. The porch has ashlar coping that terminates in a finial, and the main gable also has ashlar coping topped with a bellcot.
