Description
The entrance gatepiers to Edmondsham Park, located 200 meters northwest of Edmondsham House, date back to the 18th century. They consist of a pair of brick piers topped with moulded stone caps, each adorned with urns featuring carved heads linked by swags of flowers and crowned with pineapple finials. Flanking these piers are short sections of brick wall with stone coping that lead to smaller square piers with stone caps and ball finials. On the outside of these piers, there are additional short lengths of splayed brick wall, also with stone coping, ending at plain square piers with weathered stone caps. The timber gates installed in the 20th century are not considered of special interest.
