Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the north side of Castle Street in Cranborne. It is constructed of brick with a tiled roof and has brick stacks at each end. The house is symmetrical in design and has two storeys and three bays. A decorative brick eaves cornice and a plat band run along the first floor. The windows are 19th-century, 2-light casements with glazing bars and are set under segmental brick arches on the ground floor. The central doorway is part-glazed. According to the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments and Ancient Buildings, the house was originally thatched.
