Description
The Lodge to Gaunt's House is a Grade II listed Cottage Orné, built in the early 19th century as a lodge for Gaunt's House. It features English bond brickwork and a conical thatched roof with capped eaves, along with a central brick stack. The building is one and a half storeys tall and has a polygonal plan. On the ground floor, there are triple timber casements with triangular headed lights and leaded glazing, which are set beneath returned labels. The upper floor contains square headed timber casements with leaded lights. There are part glazed doors at the angles, sheltered by thatched porches supported by rustic timber columns. This lodge is recognized as a good example of its type.
