Description
East Dairy Cottage and West Dairy Cottage at High Hall are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with later enlargements in the late 19th century. They feature brick walls, thatched roofs, and brick stacks, with the central stack having two diagonal shafts. The cottages are two storeys high.
West Dairy Cottage appears to have originally been two separate cottages. It has a ledged door with a glass panel located under a thatched porch, along with one blocked doorway. The ground floor includes two casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows.
East Dairy Cottage has a ledged door as well. Each floor has one casement window with glazing bars. There is a single-storey lean-to at the east end, which also has a thatched roof.
Both cottages feature two-storeyed gabled rear wings with a central valley gutter.
