Description

The garden wall to No 6 is a Grade II listed structure located on West Walks Road. It features a keystone inscribed "HB 1851" and is constructed from Portland or Ridgeway hammer-dressed stone. The wall has a pitched slate roof with overhanging eaves and elaborate bargeboarding at the gable ends. It has a T-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall. The casements have arched heads and glazing bars set within square chamfered openings. There is a porch with a bargeboarded gable end. The garden wall itself is made of hammer-dressed stone topped with a moulded and coped ashlar. It includes a planked door in chamfered openings, flanked by two piers with coped tops and plain recessed panels. Nos 1 to 6, including the wall between Nos 5 and 6, form a group.
