Description
Masonic Hall is a mid-19th century building located on the north side of Princes Street. It features a rendered exterior and a pitched slate roof. The façade is distinguished by a giant order of four Tuscan columns supporting a pediment. On the ground floor, there are three blocked windows, while the first floor has two blocked round-headed niches with a continuous impost band and an oculus in the center bay.
An extension was added around 1900, also rendered and consisting of one storey. This extension includes a moulded cornice and parapet, with an open pediment at the south end and rusticated angle pilasters. The east elevation has a door with five fielded panels set in a rusticated surround, complete with a triple keystone and a pediment above. There are four plain windows on this elevation. The south elevation features one sash window with glazing bars, set in a moulded architrave that includes impost blocks and a keystone.
