Description

No. 19 King Street is a mid-18th century building, dated 1742. It has brick walls, colourwashed, a slate roof, and brick stacks. The main building is two storeys high, with a symmetrical facade. The ground floor features a six-panel door within a classical surround, topped by a pedimented hood and flanked by reeded pilasters. Above the door is a plain glass fanlight. Two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars are also on the ground floor. The first floor has three similar windows. A single-storey extension to the south has colourwashed brick walls and a tiled roof, culminating in a parapetted gable. This extension includes a six-panel door and a single casement window. A single-storey rear extension, likely from the 19th century, is constructed of brick, has a tiled roof, and a brick stack.
