Description
Pettie's Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, positioned at right angles to the road. It features rubble stone walls and a thatched roof with coped gables, along with brick stacks at the ends. The building is one storey high with attics. There is a ledged door set within a 20th-century stone porch that has a flat roof. The ground floor includes two three-light and one two-light stone mullioned windows, all with hoodmoulds and casements that have glazing bars. The gable end facing the road is blank, and there is a blocked window on the rear (west) wall. At the right end, there is a small single-storey lean-to with a corrugated sheet roof and a stable door. The interior is not accessible. The front boundary wall is made of rubble stone and has weathered coping. It includes gatepiers topped with ashlar weathered caps.
