Description

This is a detached cottage, likely dating from around 1780. It has walls built of cob (a traditional rural material) which have been plastered. The roof is thatched and hipped, with brick stacks at each end. The cottage is two storeys high. A ledged door has a small glass panel. The ground floor has two windows with a cross pattern and leaded lights, while the first floor has three casement windows also with leaded lights. The building is recorded in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments as Monument 7 in Volume III of their Dorset survey.
