Description

Melissa Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that was altered in the 19th century. It features plastered walls on a stone base and has a tiled roof with a brick stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has been recently extended to the north in a similar style. The modern porch has a stable door and a shingled roof. On the ground floor, there are three horizontally sliding sash windows and one casement window, all with glazing bars. The first floor has four similar windows. One room on the ground floor includes a large open fireplace with a bread oven. The cottage is included for its group value.
