Description
This bridge over the River Frome backwater, located on Charminster Road 200 yards north of the junction with the A37 (Maiden Newton Road), is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed from Portland ashlar and features rusticated voussoirs. The bridge has three elliptical arches and cutwaters, along with a band. The parapet is made of brown brick with ashlar coping, and there is an iron scroll at the south end of the east parapet, which is next to otherwise plain railings.
