Description

Bridge over River Frome 1. 5191 on Charminster Road 75 yds north of junction with A37 (Maiden Newton Road) SY 6391 1/132 II 2. Cl8 or earlier. Portland or Ridgeway ashlar. Red brick parapet with ashlar coping. 3 arches, flanking ones 2-centred, centre 1 segmental. 2 cutwaters with battered tops. Parapets splayed at either end, and continued for 3 yds north by rubble walls.
