Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory that has been converted into a private residence. It dates from the early 19th century and features rubble-stone walls that are rendered. The roof is made of clay tiles and has stone gable copings, with brick stacks at each gable end. The building is two storeys high and has three wooden sash windows with glazing bars and wooden cills. The front door, located at the centre, is also from the early 19th century and has flush and recessed panels with two top lights. Above the door is a rectangular transom light with diagonally set glazing bars, and there is a 20th-century wooden porch with trelliswork.
At the rear, there is a wing that has a datestone reading "TS 1702" that has been re-set. This wing has a hipped slate roof with a brick stack on the ridge at the back. It is also two storeys high and has three bays with wooden casement windows that have glazing bars and wooden lintels above them. The rear service yard is enclosed by rubble-stone walls, and there is an attached wall on the north-west side.
