Description

Little Thatch, also known as The Retreat, is a small detached cottage dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features cob walls, with the front wall refaced in brick, and has a thatched roof that is hipped at the left end, with a brick stack at the right end. The cottage is two storeys high and includes a 20th-century porch with a slate lean-to roof and metal casement. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows with horizontal centre glazing bars set under segmental arches, and there are two similar casements on the first floor. Inside, there is a large open fireplace on the ground floor and some exposed ceiling beams.
