Description
Kingsettle Lodge is a detached cottage that was formerly an inn, likely built in the 18th century and extended to the left in the late 18th century or early 19th century. The cottage features cob walls, with the front wall faced in brick, and has a hipped thatched roof with a brick stack at the right end. It is one storey high with an attic, and the section at the right end is at a lower level, which, according to the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, was originally a separate cottage.
At the left end, there is a 20th-century conservatory with glazed doors. The main part of the cottage has a 20th-century oak door set in a brick porch with a thatched roof. The ground floor includes three casement windows with glazing bars, all positioned under segmental arches. The attic features three dormers, each with casement windows that also have glazing bars. There is a 20th-century rear extension with plastered walls and a thatched roof, and some exposed ceiling beams can be seen inside.
