Description

Bowhay is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of English bond brick, with some flared headers and a plat band. The end walls are of rubble, and there are vertical bands of flared brick at the ends of the range. The roof is tiled, with brick stacks at each end. The house has a near-symmetrical design and a three-window range. The ground floor windows have segmental heads and are casements with leaded lights. A central, part-glazed, panelled door is set within a doorcase featuring narrow, fluted pilasters, and a flat porch supported by slender columns.
