Description
52 and 52A Salisbury Street is a mid-18th century building that was originally only identified as No 52. It is a two-storey structure with a five-window stucco front and a steeply pitched slate roof. The gable end features a Venetian window with lead glazing. The street-facing side has small sash windows on the first floor and a 19th-century shop front below, which includes a double bay and a bowed fascia. Attached at the back, but part of the same property, is No 52A, which has a brick gable end and a tiled mansard roof. The entrance includes a six-panelled door with four fielded panels, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. There is one window bay, with windows that have flush frames and segmental heads. Nos 34 to 44 (even) and Nos 48 to 52A (even) form a group.
