Description

48 and 48A New Street is an early 18th century building that has been altered. It is two stories high with a three-window front. The exterior features modern rendering and rusticated stucco quoins, topped with a slate roof. The sash windows now have central glazing bars only. There are brick chimneys at each end with moulded caps. The building has central paired modern plain entrances. It is part of a group that includes Nos 48, 48A, 50, 72, 80, 82, the Baptist Chapel, and Nos 90, 92, 110, 112, and 130.
