Milkhouse And Attached Walls, 10 Metres North-West Of Church Farmhouse

The Milkhouse and attached walls, located 10 metres north-west of Church Farmhouse, is a late 17th-century cottage and dairy with some 20th-century alterations. It features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and a scaled clay-tile roof with stone gable copings. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, including 3-light and 4-light wood casements, with one 3-light casement window featuring ovolo-moulded wood mullions from the 17th century on the first floor. There are plank doors positioned left of centre and towards the right-hand end. Stone steps lead up to a plank door on the north gable wall. Inside the cottage, at the left-hand end, there is a stop-chamfered ceiling beam from the mid-17th century and a large open fireplace. The attached walls, which run east from the north end of the Milkhouse, date from the 17th century and consist of coursed rubble-stone with ashlar coping stones, measuring 23 metres by 15 metres, returning to the farmhouse.
