Description

The Old School is a mid-19th century building that originally served as a school and schoolhouse, but is now a dwelling. It features a combination of banded brick and flint with brick dressings, topped by a shallow pitched slate roof that has a central brick stack. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The schoolroom has a single large tripartite sash window with a clock above it, while the house section to the right has two bays with casement windows that include glazing bars. There is a plank door located in the outshut to the right. A coat of arms is displayed on the wall. The Old School is part of a group of largely unspoilt estate cottages.
