Description
Early 19th century house, originally a range of two cottages, with an attached stable. The house is constructed of rubble stone with a clay-tile roof and stone gable-coping at the left-hand end. Brick stacks are located at the left-hand gable, the centre of the ridge, and the right-hand gable. It has two storeys and four windows, mostly 3-light casements with glazing bars, wooden sills, and lintels. A 2-light casement is located between the two doors. The south gable wall features two- and three-light mullion windows. A panelled door with two upper lights, dating to the 19th century, is on the left, accompanied by trelliswork porch. The right-hand door is planked and weatherboarded, with a 19th-century wood frame and a wooden canopy supported by moulded brackets. The attached stable to the south has rubble stone walls, a thatched roof covered with corrugated iron, and several 3-light wood casements with glazing-bars on the ground floor, with a 2-light dormer casement above. A stable-type door with a wood frame and lintel is present, as is a plank door on the gable-end wall.
