Canteen Cottage is a small cottage, probably dating from the 18th century. It has rubble stone walls, with the upper gables rebuilt in brick. The roof is made of stone slate and features a brick stack. The cottage is two storeys high, with a single-storey brick addition on the south side that has a slate roof on the front elevation. The ground floor of the addition has one casement window with glazing bars, while the first floor has two similar windows.
