Description
Grange Arch is an 18th-century folly built by Dennis Bond before 1746. It features a triple arch made of ashlar stone. The central section has a semi-circular arch with a projecting keystone, topped by a battlemented parapet. On either side, the lower sections have square-headed openings with keystones, beneath plain parapets that are adorned with obelisk finials. These sections are further flanked by solid lower sections that include blank arched recesses, also topped with obelisk finials. The structure was designed as an "eye catcher" to be viewed from Creech Grange.
