SY98SW MORETON STEEPLE 9/243 Four table tombs, two raised coffin lid monuments and five stone coffin lids immediately south of the tower of Parish Church GV II

Group of monuments. Three table tombs adjoining the tower, to members of the Bond family - dated 1835, 1821 and 1823 - the first in Gothic, the others in classical style. One similar classical style table tomb, south of these, to Leonora Bullen, dated 1836. Between this and the first group, two raised "coffin lid" monuments to members of the Bond family, dated 1842 and 1844. East of these, five stone coffin lids, one dated 1795 - others undated - may be medieval (RCHM). A good group. RCHM Monument 1.
