Description
Lumsdens is a building that likely dates from the 18th century. It features brick walls, a thatched roof, and brick stacks. The structure is one storey high with attics. There is a rear extension that has a slate roof, which replaces the original thatch and extends to the ridge. Additionally, there is a projecting rear wing with a tiled gabled roof.
On the main north elevation, the ground floor includes a central bay with casement windows that have lead lights, which probably replaced a door. There are also two casement windows with glazing bars. A plot band runs at first floor level, and the attic has two dormers with casement windows that also feature glazing bars. The entrance is located in the south gable wall, with a part-glazed door under a gabled porch. The ground floor contains some chamfered ceiling beams and 18th-century panelling.
